Muhammad Murshed Alam
Chief Judicial Magistrate, Patuakhali.
Mr. Muhammad Murshed Alam is a member of Bangladesh Judicial Service; 3rd Batch having Service ID No.2008203138. He was born on 08.01.1983 in a respectable Muslim Family at Gopalnagar in Brahmonpara of Cumilla District. His father’s name is Mohammad Torab Ali and mother’s name is Mosammat Jahanara Begum. He obtained LL.B. (Hons) and LL.M.(First Class, Third in order of merit) from Dhaka University in 2003 and 2004 respectively. He participated in the 5th Human Rights Summer School. He joined as Assistant Judge on 22.05.2008AD. Subsequently he was promoted to the post of Senior Assistant Judge, Joint District and Sessions Judge and Additional District and Sessions Judge on 15.02.2012, 10.08.2015 and 20.06.2021 AD respectively. He has a number of publications to his credit. He has previously worked as Lecturer at the Department of Law in Stamford University, Bangladesh, Assistant Judge in Noakhali, Senior Judicial Magistrate in Chandpur, Senior Assistant Judge in Chattogram, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate in Siranjganj, Additional District and Sessions Judge in Tangail and Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge in Dhaka. He participated in Training Programs, Workshops, Seminars and Conferences held in Bangladesh and India. He joined as Chief Judicial Magistrate in Patuakhali District on the 08th Day of September 2025.
